169 - 175

17 June 2012 - We didn't actually have soccer today, but I thought Ana looked cute in this picture.  "Mom, you are soooo tiny."

18 June 2012 - Aunt Sissy (aka - Melissa) was here for the weekend...and with her comes a request to play her DS until the battery dies.

19 June 2012 - Aunt Sissy slept over last night and since I spent the morning sewing clothes for her, when lunch time rolled around we decided to eat out.  Chinese buffet was where we went...and the girls always love Jello for dessert.

20 June 2012 - Awe, baby Anastasia.  Rebecca tucked her inside a laundry basket with all the blankets and pillows she needed.  The girls can be so goofy.

21 June 2012 - Last soccer game of the year.  Rebecca got right in there this game.  The whole year she has kinda hung back which we assume is because of the age difference.  She joined Jesse's U8 team, so there are some big kids she plays against.

22 June 2012 - She must have been thirsty...

23 June 2012  - I brought back these two "puff balls" from Chantal's bridal shower, and the kids thought they were quite fun.  I have even seen Rebecca dress hers up in clothes and call it her friend named "Purple."

Sunday, June 17

162 - 168

10 June 2012 - The kids were very excited that Eva and Ezra came to visit for the afternoon/evening today.  The girls changed into princess dresses almost immediately and didn't change until it was time to go home.  The little man happily played trains with Mike, and out in the sandbox after supper.  A great day!

11 June 2012 - Poor Rebecca wasn't feeling well today (nor was I) so we spent the whole morning laying around in the living room...the girls had their "darlings" with them (Ariel and Cinderella).

12 June 2012 - They told me their were on a "boat".  I guess they were sleeping on the boat.

13 June 2012 - Oh, how the girls love playing with the guitar.  Almost every time Mike gets his out to play the girls request to play on mine.

14 June 2012 - Sometimes we still have nap time around here...

15 June 2012 - Jesse helped his sister out with the monkey bars.  Sometimes he can be such a nice big brother.

16 June 2012 - Can you believe it?  A picture of me!  Doesn't happen very often.  My little sis came out to visit for the weekend, so we all went out for the evening kid free.  And since I couldn't remember the last time us three sisters had a picture together, I thought we should take a quick one.  (Reed and Mike were there too.)

Other than dealing with a flu bug this week (it hit Rebecca as we were getting out of the van in a parking lot...lovely!), we had a pretty good week.  Mike and I even managed to go out for coffee on our own (since the kids were at a sleepover with Grandma Brenda and Grandpa John).  I sewed some new dresses and tights for the girls.  We went for a family bike ride one evening.  The girls and I went swimming one morning.  And we managed a whole week without TV or computer games.  They got to watch/play a bit this weekend, but come Monday the ban is on again.  It's been a good thing for us I think.  I hope we have another good week...summer holidays are almost here!

Friday, June 15

155 - 161

Late pictures once again.  I don't even have a good excuse, other than we have decided that our family will only watch TV/play computer games on Sunday afternoons so the computer hasn't been on this week and I just haven't made it down here to post the pictures.  Today I needed to print a pattern for a dress I want to sew, so I thought I would quickly do up the pictures too.

3 June 2012 - Our neighbor recently got a new dirt bike for their 7 year old son and all the kids love to go and watch him ride up and down the alley.

4 June 2012 -  I can't remember what I had just told her, but she was very excited and jumped into this pose.

5 June 2012 - One of the kids favorite things is when Daddy is home for breakfast.  Jesse was more than happy to jump into his lap to eat (though he kinda looks mad in this picture!)

6 June 2012 - The birthday decorations finally came down.  Rebecca proceeded to pull the balloons behind her by the string claiming they were her "puppies" and she was taking them for a walk.  Anastasia commented on how lovely her colorful puppies were.  :-)

7 June 2012 - Another evening soccer game.

8 June 2012 - The kids spent the day at Auntie Ang's, and came home at supper time (which Ang & Eli joined us for).  The kids all enjoyed running around in the light rain with their umbrellas.

9 June 2012 - Today was a Costco day...and we stopped at the food court.  Jesse wanted a hot dog & drink, but the girls both requested ice cream.  Costco ice cream cones are huge!

Wednesday, June 6

148 - 154

27 May 2012 - Angie bought us tickets for a really cool fundraiser/fair sort thing that we went to.  There were Star Wars characters, Disney princesses, plus food, crafts, bouncy castles, face painting, clowns etc.  When Jesse saw these two characters approaching each other his eyes widened and he exclaimed, "Ooooh, I wonder if they are going to fight?!"

28 May 2012 - This picture was also taken on Sunday on our way home from church.  I guess she was tired from our very exciting day.

29 May 2012 - The girls found their swimsuit cover-ups in the closet and decided they should wear them as dresses.  Here, they are looking at our Bleeding Heart...one of their favorite flowers in the garden.

30 May 2012 - After a busy morning at Moms and Tots, followed by lunch and play at Ikea, the girls were still not ready to part company with their friend Eva.  They were so sad when we got home...so I let them wash the windows which perked them up.  Who knew!

31 May 2012 - Rebecca looked cute in her ball cap and curly hair.

1 June 2012 - Hugging before Jesse's bus arrived.

2 June 2012 - Today was Service Saturday with our church.  We went to Princes Island Park and cleaned up litter.  After we were done we all had a picnic lunch.  It was a fun morning.

Other exciting things that happened this week...we got a new (used) stove to replace our ancient one that only had one working burner.  So far, I love our $150 Kijiji purchase!  It's very fancy compared to the old one.  We also finally found a storm door that would fit and was hinged on the right side.  I have been looking on Kijiji for over a month now, and I'm happy to have a screen door that closes on its own (because the kids don't remember!)

On Saturday we headed over to Coghlins (after our time at the park) for a birthday celebration for Chantal and Dan.  We enjoyed cake and a short visit before we had to head home.

We have had some nice weather finally...the gardens are all planted and things are starting to sprout.  I love this time of year.  The strawberries are flowering and have tiny berries growing already, the raspberry patch seems to be settling into its new home in the yard (including my new plants from Dan & Chantal's house), and I have a new berry bush this year that I am excited to see what it does.  It's a Haskap berry plant, or a Honeyberry.  I can't wait for fresh berries this summer!  We also have some new veggies planted this year too.  I have a spaghetti squash, zucchini that are round, edamame, ornamental popping corn, Tarpan strawberries (which have red flowers) and a Black Pearl peppers (spicy peppers with black foliage).  I won't even mention the new flowers that I have ordered, but I am equally excited about them!  (Can you tell I like my garden?)
