Late pictures again, though not as late as last week!
1 April 2012 - Perfect day for a picnic at the park! Mind you, if you asked the girls, any day would be a perfect day for a picnic.
2 April 2012 - According to Jesse, he was chasing a gopher down the hill and had to stop at the bottom...and blew out his tire. And, subsequently, had to walk his bike home!
3 April 2012 - Gym Day at Cardel Place...no bouncy castle on Tuesdays, but they did have some other fun stuff set up. Rebecca ran right up to this bar and started hanging and flipping herself around. The other kids just stared, and one little girl (with awe in her voice) asked, "How do you do that?" Rebecca tried to teach her, but alas, the other girl just couldn't do it.
4 April 2012 - The girls found our boat in the camping stuff today...insisted that I blow it up, then they ran to change into their swimsuits and spent the day playing in the boat.
5 April 2012 - And they were still playing in the boat the next day. Jesse and Rebecca snuggled together to read the Lego magazine under the shelter of the umbrella.
6 April 2012 - Exciting day...Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Al are coming out for the weekend all the way from Saskatchewan. Jesse helped me tidy up the house.
7 April 2012 - The kids wasted no time in testing out the new play structure at Aunty Angie's!
Bonus Picture (I already had added before I realized it should be in the next post,
but I didn't feel like taking it out.)
8 April 2012 - I absolutely love going to the Zorn's for the Easter Egg Hunt...and the kids do too. They were slightly afraid of the Easter Bunny (which I can't fault them for...I remember being afraid of a large bunny at a family reunion when I was young too.) But, they were willing to overcome their fear to get some chocolate. :-) Lots of fun hunting for eggs, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, and even gathering some eggs from the chickens. (Rebecca is the one in the black jacket beside the bunny; Jesse on the far right. Ana must be with a Grandpa).
We had a great weekend. It always goes so fast when my parents are out visiting. Too many things to do, not enough time. They got here Friday (in time for supper). The kids watched their progress on Google Latitude the whole day. My dad's profile picture is their cream 1970 MG so when they showed up in my moms 2007 burgundy Equinox, Ana was quite confused since they had been watching this cream colored car on the map all day. Anyway, after supper (and late into the evening) they finally headed over to Angie's for the night. Saturday I was scheduled to donate blood (but my iron was a few points to low) and we headed to Angie's after I was done. The kids all stayed with the guys at the house while the ladies went to the mall. Reed, Mike, Al, and Dan worked hard all day and by supper there was a fully assembled play structure for the kids! They were so excited. After supper (and getting late again) we packed up the kids and headed home. Our church met as usual in our home Sunday morning...two of our families were absent, so it was nice to have my parents in attendance. In the afternoon, we headed out to the Zorn's for the Egg Hunt. And it was bedtime when we got back home. The kids got one last story in with Grandma Bonnie. We hugged them, wished them safe travels and said good bye. They spent the night at Angie's and headed home in the morning.
