I can't believe it's been 7 months since I last wrote a post. I'll blame it on Facebook I guess. Or maybe on the fact that Jesse gets to use the computer more than I do. Either way, it's pretty sad.
Mike is now in his last semester of graduate school! While as exciting as it is to think about moving back to Canada...we have to think about where to move back to and what job to take. Not fun. I don't like making decisions like this. We have several possibilities that we are currently investigating, but are far from making a decision. When we do, we will let you know. :o)
With the new year comes a new addition to our family. I can't believe that our third child is due in 5ish weeks. I'm a little fuzzy on when the doctor is actually wanting to schedule my c-section, but I do plan on asking him at my next doctors appointment. I'm looking forward to meeting the little one that keeps me up at night with kicks and rolling around in my tummy. We don't know if it's a boy or girl, so you get to be surprised right along with us when he/she is born! Jesse and Rebecca have recently started talking about the baby in my tummy. I'm not sure if Jesse actually understands on some level, or if he is just repeating what he has heard. His favorite thing to do is squish the baby. His words are, "Momma, I squash baby?" usually followed by squashing the baby! The baby usually responds by rolling away to the other side. Rebecca on the other hand is quite nice...she likes to give my belly kisses. She really has no idea what is about to happen! It should be fun around here once the baby arrives!
And since I don't want this to be an incredibly long post, I will finish here with a few sayings that Jesse came out with over the holidays...
At the supper table one night, Grandpa John was trying to sit beside Jesse. Jesse was quite adamant that Uncle Dan sit by him. John pretended to start crying, but Jesse insisted. So, finally they switched and Jesse got to sit by Uncle Dan. As John was sitting down across the table, Jesse says, "I'm so proud of you."
On the airplane flying back home, Jesse was looking at the diagram of the airplane outlining the safety proceedures. He especially like the little pics of the water and the ground. He turned to me and said, "Momma, airplane (as in us) go in water?" I reply, "No, I hope not." Jesse gets this confused look on his face and says, "Why not? Whales are hungry." (A little random, I know...)
Also, on our way back home...we were waiting for our turn to take off for Dallas, taxing past some other planes and I pointed out a large jumbo jet, "Look Jesse, that's a big plane!" Jesse looks at me and shakes his head, "No momma, that's a rocket ship."
That's it for now!
